Challenge: Turn the world’s biggest video community into an economic engine
The result: GTM playbook that enabled the Creator Economy and new subscription offerings, growing 10x into a multibillion dollar media titan.
The strategy: I pioneered YouTube's first global Creator campaigns and the rollout of the subscription products (Music, TV, Premium, Originals), establishing the monetization playbook beyond advertising. This required a strategic orchestration of the marketplace dynamics to address viewer, creator, and advertiser perception and product needs in order to earn their time, attention, and dollars. During these formative years, I led the global media and activation teams through YouTube's formative period, scaling the marketing and growth activities across key markets (UK, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Canada, Australia).
